Jakobbee White is a licensed professional counselor since 2017. He helps adults and children overcome the negative effects that stressful or traumatic life experiences have on how a person thinks, feels, and behaves. He has experience helping clients heal from childhood abuse (emotional, verbal, physical, sexual), post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, depression, grief, anger, and behavior issues. He helps his clients identify and resolve how their past is unconsciously coming into play in their present and causing them to repeat situations in their career or personal life. Ultimately, Jakobbee helps his clients find meaning in these experiences and have a more authentic connection with themselves, so they can have a more genuine connection with others.
Jakobee was employed at Cogito Mental Health Services prior to joining Milestones (formerly Child and Family Services) in 2017. Additionally, he works as a consultant for local school systems, trying to help build a mutual learning environment for both student and school without undue stress.
A life long learner, Jakobee attends many continuing education workshops each year. He also enjoys reading books and professional journals related to mental health, therapy, nutrition, and wellness. He and his wife, Mary Jane, stay very busy raising three children.
