Hillary Montijo started working with Milestones in 2021 primarily with children and adolescents but enjoys working with both adults and children alike. Hillary helps clients in areas including managing stress and anxiety, depression, anger management, ADHD, parenting skills, behavior management, boundaries, and adjusting to trauma. Hillary completed internships at Westgate Church of Christ with clients dealing with sex and pornography addictions and trauma and The Exchange Center for Child Abuse Prevention with survivors of domestic violence. For the past 7 years Hillary has been teaching General Psychology and Human Development at Wallace Community College in Dothan.
Hillary is passionate about many areas in psychology and mental health, some of them are empowering women and Women’s issues, ADHD, anxiety, mindfulness, and trauma. Hillary utilizes an eclectic approach to treating her clients depending on the needs and personality of each individual person. Her treatment method of choice is Person Centered Therapy, but she employs everything from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, mindfulness, to Solution Focused Therapy.
Hillary has been married to her husband Paul since 2014 and they have one son Braden as well as a Doberman named Archer and a rescue cat named Zuma. She enjoys reading, spending time with family, going to the beach, binge watching TV shows, movie nights, and playing with her fur babies.
