Leslie Mathis has been a certified and licensed speech-language pathologist since 2016. She enjoys serving both children and adolescents with a variety of language and articulation disorders.
She was raised in Dothan, AL and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama with a degree in Psychology. She received her graduate degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Texas at Dallas. While there, she developed a special interest in Autism Spectrum Disorder and presented a poster on word learning in young children with Autism at the annual American Speech and Hearing Association convention.
She did her clinical fellowship year at Juan N. Seguin Elementary in Grand Prairie, Texas. She also worked for two years at Cottonwood High School in Cottonwood, AL where she served children from preschool to 12th grade. She has been with Milestones (formerly Child and Family Services) since 2018.
After moving back to Dothan to be closer to her family, she married her husband Jason in 2018. They attend and serve at Wiregrass Church with their son.
