Dr. Powe is trained in psychological and psychoeducational assessments. She is also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for children and adolescents with a variety of issues, but specializes in the treatment of ADHD, behavioral issues, and anxiety. She loves helping parents get the support they need for their child to succeed in life. She also enjoys the challenge of helping her therapy patients build the skills they need to thrive in the world.
Raised primarily in Fairhope, Alabama, Dr. Powe went to Auburn University for her undergraduate degree and The University of Alabama for her master’s and doctorate. She completed her internship at Ohio Guidestone, a community mental health center in Cleveland, Ohio, and learned she did not like snow at all! She joined the team at Milestones (formerly Child and Family Services) in 2019.
At home, Dr. Powe likes to take her dog, Cooper, for walks and enjoys reading books. She has a big family and enjoys visiting them on weekends.
