Richard Dismukes has practiced therapy for more than 35 years. He works with adults and adolescents in areas including managing difficult thoughts, adjusting to trauma, controlling attention, managing stress, overcoming depression, behavior management and marital or relationship issues.
As President of Milestones (formerly Child and Family Services), he has guided and supported the growth and development of the company since its inception in 1993. As a supervising counselor, he has assisted many counselors through the licensing process. He has worked as a consultant to multiple school systems, Head Start and Adoption programs and has been the executive or clinical director of three inpatient residential treatment programs. He has a strong interest in mindfulness and stress reduction techniques.
Richard and his wife, Jeanne, have been married for 43 years. They have one son, a daughter-in-law, two grandchildren and two Havanese puppies, Jake and Ollie. Mr. Dismukes enjoys hobbies including sailing, travel, music, woodworking and photography.
