Lauren is passionate about the pediatric population. Her primary focus has been children with articulation disorders, mixed expressive-receptive language disorder, autism, developmental delay, specific learning disability, and intellectual disability. She has also previously worked with children with Down syndrome, hearing impairment, and reading difficulties. Lauren is not a bi-lingual speech language pathologist, but has worked with families who speak English and Spanish and with translators.

She attended Auburn University and received her Bachelors of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders with honors. Lauren then went to the University of Memphis and received her Master of the Arts in Speech Language Pathology in 2020. During her time at Memphis, she also obtained a certificate in AAC. She completed her fieldwork in Shelby County Elementary schools, The University of Memphis Speech and Hearing Clinic, LeBonheur's community based Early Intervention Program, The University of Memphis's ABC preschool program for children with Autism, and Methodist Central Hospital. Lauren returned to Dothan after completing her degree to be closer to family and pour into the community. She completed her CF at Mulkey Elementary School in Geneva, where she treated a variety of disorders from ages 3-16. She is a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.

Outside of work, Lauren is a member of Calvary Baptist Church, in Dothan. She enjoys reading sci-fi and fantasy books, spending time with her family, writing poetry, having game nights with friends, and playing kickball.
